Hortons’ fundraiser

Property company Hortons’ Estate Limited (HEL) raised £5,700 for Ward 19, Heartlands Hospital, at its 8th annual quiz for the local commercial property community.
Twenty-seven teams of five worked their way through nine rounds of questions at Penny Blacks, The Mailbox. The quiz, dubbed ‘The School Exam From HEL’, included knowledge testers on music, maths, science, modern languages and history and culminated in a school disco ‘Dancing Queens’ round.
PMP Consultants took this year’s trophy, with the home team Hortons’ Estate taking second spot. Lambert Smith Hampton left with the wooden spoon.
The charity was chosen by Hortons’ staff after a colleague’s wife underwent successful treatment for breast cancer at Ward 19 last year. The money will help fund medical equipment and improvements to help make patient stays more comfortable.
