Fruitul letting for Hortons
12 March 2013
Hortons is celebrating one of its largest lettings in the past 12 months, as Doosan Enpure Ltd sets up business in 10,000 sq ft of offices at its scheme, 2 The Limes on Parklands Business Park, Birmingham.
Doosan Enpure is a newly formed process engineering company with technologies, water and wastewater sectors, owned by a multi-billion dollar South Korean company – Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co Ltd, whose water division sector has 40 per cent of the world’s desalination market.
2 The Limes is now one hundred per cent let to Doosan Enpure, occupying both floors of the two-storey building, which offers a mix of open plan and cellular space.
The offices also provide room for future growth, with Doosan Enpure currently employing 20 people, mainly engineers, with a view to expanding the team further as the company develops its global operations.
Steve Tommy, commercial surveyor for Birmingham based,Hortons, said:
This has been our most significant office letting in the past 12 months and demonstrates the draw of Birmingham as a base for innovation and global technology companies.
2 The Limes lends itself to an occupier who wants to stamp their own mark on a building and have a self contained unit that can be branded and act as statement headquarters, centrally located within the UK.
Hortons is an independent property company, which owns and manages more than two-million sq ft of commercial property located in the Midlands, and has completed over 50,000 sq ft of office lettings in the past year to new occupiers.
Victoria Burnett from Jones Lang LaSalle, who act as joint letting agents with Knight Frank on 2 The Limes added:
Hortons has an excellent reputation as a landlord which is willing to offer flexible terms and attractive rents, working hard to accommodate occupiers requirements and in Doosan Enpure’s case, work to very tight deadlines.
2 The Limes offered the right fit for Doosan, with excellent accessibility and good local amenities for its growing team.
Parklands Business Park is located within a 200 acre mixed-use park in the Longbridge / Rubery area to the south of Birmingham with direct access to the M5 and just nine miles from Birmingham city centre.
