Hortons unveils latest refurbishment at Wellington

Hortons has completed the latest phase of a rolling refurbishment project at an established commercial location in the West Midlands.

We have comprehensively refurbished Unit 50, an industrial/warehouse building at the multi-let Wellington Industrial Estate on Bean Road in Coseley.

The 13,000 sq ft building has been reroofed and reclad and boasts new lighting, increased power capacity and multiple industrial cranes. It is available for immediate occupation.

The building is one of several to have been refurbished as part of ongoing works at Wellington Industrial Estate, which has upgraded c.90,000 sq ft of industrial accommodation, with more in the pipeline.

Unit 61 has already been let, while Unit 40 and Unit 53 are both under offer. Work has recently commenced on Unit 52A which will deliver 12,500 sq ft of refurbished industrial/warehouse space.

Jeremy Boothroyd of Hortons, said that the project was part of a wider strategy to modernise our estate and deliver more energy efficient buildings for tenants.

He said: “We are very pleased to have completed the refurbishment of Unit 50 at Wellington Industrial Estate. The building offers high quality industrial accommodation in a sought after location and has the advantage of multiple cranes, which is a particularly rare feature in the Midlands marketplace. It is available and is attracting good levels of interest.

“Our refurbishment programme is focused on upgrading the buildings on the estate to modern standards and improving their environmental performance. Demand continues to outstrip the supply of small industrial/warehouse units of this type, which is why we are exploring options to repurpose some additional buildings on the site for commercial use. “

Wellington Industrial Estate offers a mix of industrial/warehouse and manufacturing units, and storage and development opportunities. The estate extends to over 750,000 sq ft and is conveniently located just a short distance from the M6, M5 and local rail terminals.
