Plans submitted for new business park units
13 February 2018
Plans have been submitted to build more than 50,000 sq ft of industrial space at Vale Park in Evesham.
Property company Hortons’ Estate Limited has applied for planning to Wychavon Council to build a single 15,000 sq ft unit and a further 39,000 sq ft of smaller units, which will be built on a speculative basis, ranging in size from 3,500 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft.
The proposed development, called Asparagus Point, will also provide 92 car parking spaces.
Subject to planning approval, construction will commence in Spring, with completion before the end of the year.
Richard Norgrove, property director at Birmingham-based Hortons’ Estate, said: “Vale Park is a well-established business park, strategically located on the A46 with links to the M5 and M42. However, there is a lack of good quality available industrial space, particularly smaller units, in the area to satisfy the demand.
“Recognising this, we have submitted plans to the council for a new development that will help address this.”
