Hortons’ 74th AGM celebrates business growth, young talent and charitable giving
29 January 2025
Hortons hosted its 74th Annual General Meeting at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham, marking its fourth consecutive year at the newly restored venue, 132 years since the company first incorporated.
Chairman, Peter Horton, presented the profitable accounts and a strong business outlook to the shareholders, and set out the strategy for the future.
The AGM dinner raised funds for Hortons’ staff charity, Noah’s Star, which supports neonatal units and children’s hospitals across the region. It brought the total raised by the company over the year to almost £20,000.
The evening also featured a special performance by young musicians from B:Music, the Birmingham-based charity which provides opportunities for young people to develop their musical talents. B:Music is one of several local charities supported by Hortons, the others focusing on hardship and exclusion, education and the arts.
“We’re proud to support both Noah’s Star and B:Music, investing in the future of our community’s health and talent,” said Jane Phillips of Hortons. “The generosity of our guests and the inspiring performance from B:Music’s young musicians made this AGM truly special.”
