Hortons marks 75th AGM at Birmingham’s Grand Hotel
04 February 2026
Hortons hosted its 75th Annual General Meeting at The Grand Hotel in Birmingham, welcoming over 80 shareholders and family members to mark a significant milestone in the company’s history.
Chairman Peter Horton presented profitable accounts and a positive outlook for the business, supported by an investment and development portfolio exceeding 5.5 million sq ft.
Around 60% of the portfolio now comprises industrial and logistics assets, strategically located across the East and West Midlands.
This year’s AGM was co-organised by financial director, David Freeman and executive assistant, Jane Phillips. Guests were invited to view a specially commissioned Hortons family tree display, featuring seven generations of the Horton family.
The AGM dinner raised over £4,000 for Promise Dreams, the staff-chosen charity that grants wishes to children and young people living with serious illness.
Jane said: “Our 75th AGM was an opportunity to celebrate the company’s recent achievements, as well as reflecting on Hortons’ family’s history.
“The generosity of our guests shows the heart of our company is as strong as ever, and we’re proud to hand over a donation in support of the wonderful team at Promise Dreams.”
