The Grand Hotel Block

Colmore Row, Birmingham B3 2BS

Leisure

Originally built by the company’s founder, The Grand Hotel Block is a landmark destination that seamlessly blends heritage with modern vibrancy.

This mixed-use scheme features an eclectic mix of ground-floor shops, restaurants, and bars, including Tattu, Gusto, Primitivo, and The Alchemist, creating a dynamic hub for both locals and visitors. Above, premium office spaces at Imperial and Whitehall and the newly refurbished Grand Hotel add to the building’s prestige, offering a refined setting for business and leisure alike.

Developed by Isaac Horton in the late 19th century, the building has remained under the custodianship of the Horton family for generations, standing as a testament to their enduring commitment to Birmingham’s architectural and cultural landscape.

The interior design, curated by Robert Angell Design International, masterfully intertwines the grandeur of the building’s Victorian origins with the energy of contemporary Birmingham, ensuring a space that both honours its past and embraces the future.
