Shareholders support Hortons’ new partnership with children’s charity

Hortons’ Estate Limited has raised more than £3,000 for charity at its 73rd annual general meeting, held at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham.

The funds will be donated to Noah’s Star, Hortons’ nominated charity of the year for 2024, which works within the region’s neonatal units and children’s hospitals.

Noah’s Star was founded by Jo-Anne Shellum following the premature birth of her twin boys, Oscar and Noah, in 2015. Oscar has since battled chronic lung disease and cerebral palsy, while Noah tragically lived for only 30 hours. 

The charity that lives in Noah’s name, recognises the immense challenges faced by families in similar situations and provides much needed services ranging from sibling child care to community stay and play groups.

It is the third consecutive year that Hortons has held its AGM at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham, following the building’s £45 million restoration and refurbishment. The iconic Grade II* hotel was built by Isaac Horton and opened its doors 145 years ago in February 1879.
