Rider Levett Bucknall to relocate HQ onto Colmore Row
29 April 2013
Property consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall is relocating its Birmingham headquarters to the heart of the citys professional core on Colmore Row.
The company has taken a ten-year lease on 7,250 sq ft of grade A space at Cathedral Court and will move into the new offices in June 2013.
The building, owned by Hortons’ Estates, will undergo an extensive programme of works to upgrade the main entrance and ground floor reception, as well as improvements to the common areas including the third floor where Rider Levett Bucknall’s new offices are located.
Managing partner Nigel Mason said:
Moving to Cathedral Court marks an exciting point in our business’ growth and supports our long-term investment and continued regional growth strategy.
Colmore Row continues to be regarded as Birmingham’s premier business address and relocating our business here is a statement of intent and our commitment to Birmingham’s professional community.
Cathedral Court’s proximity to several public transport hubs and the flexibility of the newly-refurbished space were key factors in our decision-making process.
Rider Levett Bucknall is managing its own fit-out programme at the offices.
Richard Norgrove of Hortons added:
We have made a start on significant investment in upgrading Cathedral Court and alongside our other Colmore Row assets this site is a very important part of our city centre portfolio. We look forward to welcoming them as tenants.
CBRE acted on behalf of Rider Levett Bucknall; DTZ acted for of Hortons Estates.
