Hortons launches 88,500 sq ft of refurbished space at Wellington Industrial Estate
01 May 2025

Hortons has marked the launch of 88,500 sq ft of newly refurbished industrial/warehouse and manufacturing space at Wellington Industrial Estate, with an exclusive event for regional property agents.
More than 30 commercial property professionals attended the event at the Black Country estate, enjoying guided site tours and taking part in a light-hearted welly wanging competition held inside one of the refurbished units – a playful nod to the estate’s name.
Hortons has completed a comprehensive refurbishment programme at Wellington Industrial Estate, delivering a selection of high-quality units ranging from 15,000 to 40,000 sq ft, all immediately available for occupation. As part of the estate’s ongoing evolution, the company is also redeveloping Wellington House – a former office building – into eight new double-height industrial units for smaller occupiers.
The scheme offers flexible space within a secure, well-maintained site, in close proximity to a large active workforce and conveniently located just off the A4123 Birmingham New Road, near Junction 2 of the M5 motorway.
Jeremy Boothroyd of Hortons, said: “We were delighted to welcome agents to Wellington and showcase the quality of the refurbished space now available. The event was a great success – not only did it allow us to demonstrate the site’s potential, but it also brought some light-hearted competition to the day.
“Wellington Industrial Estate continues to offer fantastic opportunities for those looking for well located, high-spec space with excellent transport connectivity. The refurbished units benefit from a good power supply and the availability of industrial cranes, which is a particularly rare feature in the Midlands marketplace. We are already receiving strong interest from prospective occupiers.”
