Trebor Developments will develop major new pre let offices and production facilities at Malvern Hills Science Park.
Trebor Developments are continuing their high levels of development activities having entered into contract with Malvern Hills Science Park and UTC Aerospace Systems to develop the last phase of the Science Park, a circa 30,000 sq ft high tech office and production facility.
Trebor Developments have entered into contract with Malvern Hills Science Park to act as developer to provide the building to a base specification and have been appointed separately by UTC Aerospace Systems to undertake the complete fitting out of the new facility in order to meet their operational requirements. The combined project has a value in excess of £6m and Trebor Developments have selected Clugston Construction as their preferred contractor for the development, work is anticipated to start on site in December 2014.
Malvern Hills Science Park have entered into a lease with UTC Aerospace Systems for the new accommodation, which will see the company moving from existing accommodation at the Science Park into this much enlarged prestigious facility. The building has been designed to meet their specific requirements, reflecting the high tech nature of their operations. Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner for Trebor Developments, commented “This is another major development for Trebor across the West Midlands, bringing together a landlord and tenant under a combined package to deliver a cost effective/turnkey accommodation development. Trebor have undertaken to deliver the project on time, cost and quality and have selected Clugston Construction as our contractor partner to help us meet those objectives”.
Alan White, Chief Executive of Malvern Hills Science Park welcomed the appointment of Trebor Developments. He said:
The now imminent commencement of Phase 4 as a new facility for UTC Aerospace Systems consolidates our ever-growing reputation as one of the UK’s leading centres for defence technologies. In addition, UTC’s relocation into the new building will also create opportunities for smaller, high-growth businesses to move onto the park with the potential to create an additional 150 new jobs.
Sarah Quinney, on behalf of UTC Aerospace Systems, commented:
We look forward to moving into this facility to better serve our customers’ needs.
